COURSE DESCRIPTION: Why is it that some managers know how to get top-achievers to deliver while others fail? Are they born with the “leadership gene”?  Not quite.  Do they work harder than others?  Possibly.  Are they the smartest employees?  Probably not.  While leadership traits may be difficult to define, great leaders know that they cannot achieve breakthrough results on their own.

Great leaders understand that the key to their success is hiring and inspiring high performance teams to deliver on the vision.  Sounds simple, right?  Most managers can hire great talent; however, merely providing oversight of high achievers will not guarantee great performance.  It’s up to you as the leader to inspire your employees to perform at their highest potential.

During this seminar, we’ll review the 4-point model for leading high performance teams that will result in great performance, regardless of the difficulty of the project or the experience level of your employees. We’ll also review the pitfalls that can actually demotivate your high potential employees.

Join top-rated B21 speaker Valerie Grubb as she helps you unleash your leadership potential.  She’ll show you how to go beyond hiring talented individuals to become an inspirational leader that will ultimately make you a super star in your organization. During this seminar, you will learn:

  • Why hiring employees more skilled than you boosts your reputation (and how not to be threatened by employees more skilled than you!).
  • How to train, motivate and focus high performers to achieve breakthrough results.
  • Why demanding excellence and having high expectations can help retain employees.
  • How taking a “hands-off” approach to managing your employees can actually result in tasks being accomplished faster.
  • How giving employees credit for their work makes you look like a better leader in the eyes of your Executive Management (and garners loyalty from your staff).
  • How to hold employees accountable without micro-managing them.
  • How to achieve immediate results by implementing the 4-point Leadership Model.
