COURSE DESCRIPTION: Successful organizations rely on high-performance CFOs and Controllers to keep their financial houses in order. But the leaders of these companies also realize that the burden of financial management can’t fall entirely on the back office.
To truly maximize return on company resources, every department head and manager must be well versed in the basics of finance. In today’s challenging market, those who make P&L decisions require a solid grasp of budgeting, cash efficiency and financial statements.
The question is, are your key managers prepared to help manage your company’s financial future? Do they understand how their department’s budget fits into the big picture? Are they able to read your company’s financial statements and offer insight into how they can contribute more to the bottom line?
This conference will show them how to think in terms of ROI and the bottom line, just like the CEO and CFO. Speaker Valerie Grubb will review how to tie budget initiatives to company goals. She’ll go beyond budgeting though and review how to read and understand financial statements and how to can directly affect the company’s financial future.
After attending this conference, participants will be able to:
- Develop a budget that couples spending to company’s goals
- Connect spending from individual departments to improved profitability and the company’s bottom line
- Demonstrate Return on Investment (ROI) for projects under consideration
